New bit of data for my bigger book just came to light... Missed it for the small book.
Probably need to go with 70.2xx as the beginning of full production for takedowns. Still same timeframe, June 1906. Norm/Loggah, by serial number your rifles probably fall into July, 1906. Actual dates, of course, can vary.
Earlier rifles probably date to after this, or possibly were a prototype.
