Anyone seen these out on the market yet? I've got a 50th birthday coming soon and thought I might treat myself to one and the Oregon Gunsmithing bottom metal. With a good lightweight scope, seems like it would make a great walking rifle without spending a small fortune.

I had opportunity to buy one about 6 weeks ago. It was from a friend who deals guns as a side gig. I didn’t get the opportunity to see and handle it though.

If anyone is wondering, I talked to both Legacy Sports (Howa) and Stocky’s this week. Neither are selling these carbon fiber stocks for the Howa Mini, and didn’t know if/when they might be.

I ordered a stock and hinged floor plate from Pendleton/Oregunsmithing for mine. Having bought a Kuiu stock from Legacy previously, and seeing the price Stocky’s is selling this stock for, inletted for a 700, I think the Pendleton may be a better price point.

PS, regarding the comments on Howa rifles in stainless, while apparently not common, I purchased a stainless 1500 in Credmoor last year. I have it in an Alpine stock…..and have yet to shoot it.

Just thought I'd update. I talked to a local Howa dealer today. The owner checked with different suppliers and only one even had it listed, and it was listed as "Coming Soon", so they are evidently not available to the general public yet.

I’m waiting for a Grendel with cash on hand. Should be a handy rut rig.

Yup.
