Going to change tires from factory for better performance( in muddy fields ,a lot in Gumbo)and better clearance.

About narrowed it down to either
CST Wild thang 27x9x12 all the way around
OR CST Wild thang 27x9x12 on the front and CST Wild thang 27x11x12 on the rear.
https://www.pureoffroad.com/cst-wild-thang-tires.htm

OR

Interco Vampire II 27x9x12 all the way around
or Interco Vampire II 27x9x12 on the front and Interco Vampire II 27x11x12 on the rear.
https://www.pureoffroad.com/interco-vampire-ii-tires.htm

The Vampire II tires are Heavier than the Wild Thang Tires by about 20%
The tread depth is the same.
Cost is about the same.

SO

Which one has the best tread Pattern for Mud ?

And regardless of which of these tires I choose would the Machine go through the Mud better with the same tires all around
Or would it go better through the Mud with the skinner tires on the front and wider tires on the rear ?

I am not concerned with ride quality or tippyness of the Machine as it will be ridden at slow speeds through the muddy fields and slow speeds when the fields are dry.

Need some input on these tires

Thanks for your reply but the Grim Reaper appears more of an all terrain tire than either the 2 tires that I asked about .

In addition the Grim Reapers do not come in a 27x9x12 or 27x11x12 ,It appears that they do not come in a 12 inch rim size and a 27 inch tire ,only a 14 inch rim for anything above a 26 inch tire.

I am interested in a Mud tire and the less weight the better for the Stock Pioneer and its limited Power.

The weight of the Wild Thang is 23.6 pounds for the 27x9x12 and 26.2 pounds for the 27x11x12

The weight of the Vampire II is 27 pounds for the 27x9x12 and 33 Pounds for the 27x11x12

The weight of the Gbc grim reapers is 27.9 pounds for the 27x9x14 and 32.6 for the 27x11x14

I have done a lot of comparisons between tires and have decided that one of these 2 tires the Cst Wild Thang or the Interco Vampire II would be the Best for My Purposes of using in the mud on the Pioneer 500,Considering Performance in Mud,Size ,weight and cost.

Just trying to decide between the 2

Thanks again

I have Wild Thangs on my Pioneer 1000 and am pleased with them. They do well in Georgia clay. Very noisy and quite harsh on hardpack and asphalt but that’s not what they are for.

Regarding wides vs skinnies on the back, don’t forget that factory wheels are generally a good bit wider on the back. Staggered widths may work best.

I'd stay away from the Vampires, they are heavy and can be hard to turn in the thick gumbo mud, my buddy had a set on his Rhino 660 and got rid of them after 1 ride. I've had real good luck with the Maxxis Mud Bugs, best tires I've owned on a wheeler/sxs ever. and you can find them reasonably priced and with free shipping in the L48.

That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.
