Cool.

Two rounds added to the mag plus an ambidextrous safety. Both improvements.

I'd definitely want to do something about those sights.

I think Hannibal Smith would approve.

Any guess on the quality versus a real Hi-Power?

Now an alloy frame model would be very enticing……..

EAA also was the first to clone the CZ75. I would assume with good steel and CNC technology this pistol could be as good as the original.

That would be cool to have if the quality is on par with the Tisa Turkish made 1911-A1 reproductions.
Especially if the “street price” is in the $400 Range.

If so, I’d buy one.

Slo Joe already placed his order.

Needs something to pull out and shoot into the air when he gives his speeches. Feels left out from others of his ilk.

Not sure about the street price yet. This is the first I've seen about them. At $400, I'd probably get one.

The Tangfolio(sp?) CZ copies that EAA brings in are really quite nice. As nice or better than the actual CZ’s. At least mine was.
The Turks seem to have stepped up quite a bit. Hope these are as good.

Looked around this morning. Couldn't find any for sale anywhere except EAA's website.

How do they function with modern hollow point ammunition? Weren’t the original High Powers ball only as far as functioning, without reworking the ramp?

The original design was for FMJ ammo and have a humped feed ramp. Later pistols have a non-humped feed ramp. My HP has the straight angle feed ramp and my FEG copy had a humped version. I lessened the hump and it feeds HPs.

Had a buddy who worked for the State Department in the same manor as a Secret Service Agent. He provided protection to visiting Secretaries of State as well as traveling to embassies around the world teaching security to the marine detachments. He kept a High Power in his bag of death (kind of a bug out bag with an M4 Carbine and stun grenades). A lot of his coworkers carried them as well.

LD, please let us know when you find some for sale.

I had one of the FEG Hi-Power clones many years ago that worked very well. Actually better than the real FN Hi-Powers I’ve owned.
