I have two that I am going to be doing load development for. I have a pretty good selection of 140 grain projectiles to play around with and most of the go to powders. I've had good success with H4831 and 140's. I would like to try some heavier rounds, but only have 160 partitions to play around with. So my question is, have any of you tried R26 in the .280AI with lighter rounds? If so, what were your starting points for ladders? I've been reading about people loving R26 but load data is scarce to non existent for most bullets. And if anybody has any 160 Accubonds or something similar you're willing to part with, I would buy them.

I would like to see some 140 grain data as well.
I have been using IMR 7828 and getting 3100 FPS with 140 gr NBT.
Accuracy is great but I feel my speed could improve.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I haven't personally tried Reloder 26 in my 280AckImp but I have shot Reloder 23 with 140s and some 154 SSTs. There is data in the new Hornady vol 11 manual for their 139gr bullets. The starting load is 55.4gr and the max charge is 64.0gr. Velocity spans 2700 to 3150fps for those charges listed. Hornady cases and Winchester Large Rifle Primers were used in a Kimber Montana 24" rifle to develop data.

This should give you a starting point. Feel free to PM me if I can be of anymore help
