I had a very shaggy, brown haired Pudelpointer that looked like a "Star Wars" Wookie so we named him Chewie. ( Chewbacca) He got a rather handsome and dashing DD pup as a partner in crime so we called that one Solo.

I always wanted a male airedale named Zeke.

I told my mom I was going to name my up Zeke and she sinply said no. Zane.
I said yes.

Zane was my grandfathers middle name, and now my dogs name. I love it. Makes me think of Papa every time I call my dog. Doesnt get any "cooler" than that!

Barf, because our new pup threw up 3 times during our initial drive home. Wife did not go for it, however.

It is my vast experience that there are quite a few dogs named "Dammit". Just why it is so popular, I am not sure. On the serious side....I name my dogs something that is easily said (shouted), and heard, in the field. Good luck in your quest.

All gone. I guess I like strange names.
Random reasons for all of them.
Trying to find a Drahthaar for my next hunter. Who knows what strange name he'll get.

Kinda thought Meshach and Abednego would be in there somewhere. smile

Just got a pair of GSP pups, named them Jack and Angus, (Gus for short).
Had 2 english setters, Pete and Jake. A Cocker named Sam and a Springer lab mix named Beau. I like a 1 syllable name for ease of calling.

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21.
Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!
