What have you killed with a 6.5 Grendel and with what bullet? I shot a doe right behind the shoulder and she fell right there. It was about 50 yards and I used a 100gr ballistic tip. I shot a small boar, about 150 pounds, and it went about 10 yards. I shot it behind the shoulder at about 50 yards with a 120gr Sierra prohunter.
My daughter has killed three deer with her Howa Mini 6.5, all with the Federal Fusion 120 grain. First was a nice 7 point about 140-150 lbs, double lung shot at 75 yds, did a 50 yd death dash and died in sight. Second was a broken rack buck about 120lbs also about 75 yds, also double lung and did about a 70 yd death dash leaving an excellent blood trail. Third was a button buck she thought was a doe, about 80 lbs. This one shot right at 100 yds in the high shoulder and died on the spot. Pretty happy with the results on whitetail.
Always remember that you are unique, just like everyone else.
I shot 2 smallish Sitka Blacktail out in PWS last year with mine. 120gr Fed Fusions dropped them in their tracks. 315yd shots on both of them (they were standing together).
took a good sized black tail last year with a 6.5 Grendal, in a Ruger American Predator model.
100 yds, neck and spine shot.. bang flop. hit right above rt shoulder as deer turned to look back...went thru neck, and hitting spine at bottom of animal's neck.
140 grain Speer SP, 30 grains of W 748, Federal primer.

My stepson killed a button buck at about 30 yards (he was supposed to shoot the doe but it was his first time hunting and got excited shot the wrong one). With my CZ 527 and factory Hornady 123 SST. Good heart/lung shot deer ran about 50 yards with a pretty decent blood trail. I started my son off with a .223 and 55 grain Barnes TSX and worked about equally well other than sometimes sporadic blood trails based on my small sample size.
My now 11 year old has killed three deer with his Howa mini with the Fusion 120 grain loading. I’ve killed a couple with my AR, the recoil is minimal and the results all one shot kills with either DRT or very short blood trails. I feel that it’s a very efficient and effective deer cartridge
The little custom Howa got it done during its maiden voyage on the 21st!
CA C-zone, 140yds off sticks, quartering to, 100gr TTSX, deer went 1-3/4yds, bullet ended up in the opposite ham we think. (asked butcher to look for it, hopefully I can post a picture and get remaining bullet weight soon).

The country
One the Edge (circle shows where he was standing)
Looking Back (circle shows where I was standing)
There ARE deer here (after 4yrs of hunting this property, this is my first chance opportunity to take a legal buck)
A little character
Fancy Camo (warm weather rated to +105 degrees and white legs make for a true fair chase)
Good times had by all again this year at the ranch and found out the Grendel will do.

Is that the Howa Mini with the Oregunsmithing stock and bottom metal setup? Good looking rig.

Yessir, and Thank You.
Curious about the rifle details with the new stock and bottom metal. Looks like the 22" barrel? How is the balance? Weight?

Bought a Howie Minie 6.5 Grendel Carbon Stalker this afternoon and had called Wayne prior, for his floorplate(enroute). Am contemplating the exceptional BTR Gen2 FFP '12x Lit Bitch and will likely chop an inclined 1913 into a 2pc. Hint.
Long way of sayin',a 264 Grendel is a nice 224 Grendel Donor...with a .585 BC magfed Smooch. Hint.

Been contemplating the jap-tucky-stalker myself. If they release that rifle in6 arc it'll find it'll way home to me.
I've shot a few hogs with one. One was 300+ yards. Rifle is an AR15, belongs to my neighbor. He has killed several over 200 yards and 2 or 3 at 300 or a little over. Favorite bullet is a Nosler BT. 120 grain I think. Out to 300 about the same trajectory as a good .308W 150 grain.
