Who uses magnum primers (cci250, Fed 215 etc) in 6.5 Creedmoor loads? I have more of these than 200's/210s and given the shortage would like to use them. Interested in hearing your experiences and how much difference you are seeing in your loads. Thanks!

I wouldn't be scared at all Mac, especially if you're using a ball powder. Drop down a bit, find your node and see how it works out. Use what you have, it's gotta be way better than waiting to find whats perfect I'd think.

Thank you sir! Was thinking that too. Only have tried 215's with 1 gr less than normal load of R17 and 129 ABLR's. This worked Ok but was just a guess and I was less than comfortable doing that. Was just looking to hear others.

I wouldn't sweat it. Not saying they will always perform as well as a standard primer, but they aren't going to hurt anything if you work your loads up the same way.

Great suggestion to start low and work up. Check your loads with a chrono. If you get any weird/wild fluctuations then that may be an indication that it isn't working well. Other than that keep and eye on pressure signs. I'm glad I'm not there yet, but that's what I'd do if I were down to only CCI250's etc...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I just recently tried Fed 215 in 257 Roberts with Ramshot Hunter. I got better accuracy and lower ES than with Fed 210 Match. I know it is not a 6.5 CM, but it is the closest thing I have tested so far. I do have 6.5x55 loaded with Fed 215 to try.
