Have not updated my phone since i got it.
They started an update at the phone store and it locked me out of my phone.
They are always trying to get me to hook up to their cloud.
Why i don't know what difference it makes if you ever go there?

Because it is my company phone I'm pretty cautious about what I do with it anyways.
I just assume every device is going to spy on me and decide whether the value it provides its worth the precautions I have to take with it.

A couple months ago I was talking to a friend at camp about our cultipacker. There isn't any service where we were talking, if that makes a difference. The next day I'm reading a story in the New York Post online (Dell computer/Windows 10) and an advertisement for cultipackers comes up. I had never searched cultipackers on any computer before.

I read an article about how that happens and they are paying attention to alot of data points, as well as the data points of the people you interact with around you, how much time you spend there, what they are looking at on apps and websites they are browsing. While I don't doubt they can and do listen, they don't have to in many cases. The data touchpoints you have provide them with enough information to make a pretty informed guess as to what targeted ad you will want to see.

I jail broke my Moto X2nd as soon as warranty expired. Gonna be sad day it dies. None of that Google tracking crap or other surveillance ware.
Same with IPad Air2. Never use cloud and no updates for 2 years.
