I know many now have varying opinions on Tucker Carlson, particularly since the time around the Presidential election, but I still find him more credible/watchable than others on Fox and certainly more than anyone on the other mainstream networks.

A few observations on tonight's show:

1. Tucker's observation that Derek Chauvin will most likely not, though it is his "right" to receive a fair trial. I agree wholeheartedly that this is not even a priority for most associated with this judicial debacle. We should all be scared by the modern day tactics of the "mob."

2. Tucker is usually very well spoken and prepared. He obviously was not prepped or prepared to pronounce the word "arteriosclerotic" . I am probably being picky here but it was uncomfortable for me to watch him butcher the word!

3. I was interested to see the footage of George Floyd's interaction with police early in the incident. Tucker observed Floyd's emotional state and apparent anxiety as well as citing the 3ng/ml Fentanyl levels found in his bloodstream at the time of autopsy (as well as Meth). The Fentanyl levels were cited as a "lethal dose" by the ME particularly in reference to respiratory depression and Tucker jumped on this. I am not sure whether Floyd tried to swallow the evidence or tried to hide it rectally as I have read both online (the latter would have been difficult sitting in the car!). I have administered A LOT of IV fentanyl over the years where we see the effects VERY quickly wrt respiratory depression, particularly in opioid-naive patients... George Floyd was NOT exhibiting opiod depression in the footage I watched. I strongly suspect the man was very opioid-tolerant in fact and that 3ng/ml serum level was not helpful to his cause, but not likely the main cause of his demise! You have to have opiod receptors for the drug to have some of the effects assumed in Tucker's comments. I have sedated patients for procedures, who were known opiod users, with scary doses of Fentanyl, Sufentanil and the like before you observed ANY clinical/monitoring signs of sedation, loss of consciousness, or respiratory depression/desaturation. Scary even for me! Many addicts or innocents die from the addition of an aggravating drug like ETOH, Benadryl, cold medicines, sedatives, etc.which push them over the edge OR addicts go clean for awhile (regenerate their receptor levels) and later "fall off the wagon" going back immediately to the narcotics doses that they were used to... that could kill you quick, especially intravenous use.

We know Floyd had at least some heart disease from the autopsy findings. Based on what I saw tonight with his early behavior, IMHO, he probably died as a result of a cardiac event related more to his anxiety and irritable state, ? meth in his system, pre-existing cardiac disease, and possibly the aggravation of the neck/kneeling maneuver. The fentanyl certainly did not help. NO WAY this was predicated murder. Accident at best using a department approved practice. Sad, sure. Review department practices, sure. Ravage the country... NO!

4. Nice to see Tucker point out the hypocrisy of the NYT in their criticism of him over his piece on the NYT journalist claiming harassment. I never get tired of Tucker's rebuttals of these types!

5. Not sure how others feel on this one, but I liked the shout out he gave to Piers Morgan on just walking off the job and standing by his opinions of Meghan Markles claims despite the criticisms from many. He may have been conflicted, true, but he may a little more knowledge than the rest of us too. BTW, I did not care for him when he was on CNN and am still very skeptical to say the least.

I do respect the fact that Tucker has the nuts to call it both ways.

I was dialing thru the radio stations today and stopped for a bit on an unknown "newscast". The guest was explaining that the coroner clearly concluded the fentenyl dose was minor and clearly indicated the cause of death was choking- err the word that is like assfixyation! Fuuck. It was a NPR Indian Reservation broadcast.

I try to catch the Tucker replay at 10pm MT Mon-Thu on satellite radio... Mostly a fan. Can't expect to agree with anyone every single time. I'd like him to have 2 hours.

Worthy of a bring back on Chauvin getting railroaded. Especially with the bulshit additional charges of late.

It's amazing how local law enforcement get's scrutinized by the Fed's via the FBI but who is there to scrutinize the Fed's, especially the FBI ? If it's Congress' job they are failing. In fact, it appears the FBI and other federal agencies are Congess' fetching boys and girls.

If we're waiting on Congress to throw tethers on the FBI of their own decision, we'll be chalk dust before that happens.
