Daughter’s PCP told her this past Monday that it’s unvaxxed covid survivors they need for monoclonol (sic) antibody donors.
If you’ve been vaxxed you cannot donate blood.

Then, those hospitals will hire agency nurses at $125 an hour to fill in for staff shortages. The temp agencies supplying these nurses are making a cut, for sure.
There has to be some resentment by staff nurses making a fraction of what these agency nurses are making.
But, don't ya know, the govt. will cover those costs. Small community hospitals have historically been squeezed, literally forcing them to join or sell to big health care conglomerates which the govt prefers to deal with. A few large players are easier to manipulate and control than a bunch of small players.
And, big hospitals with training programs get a big jump in reimbursement compared to non teaching facilities. It's bait and switch, carrot and stick management, govt. style.

Employee shortages will result in hospitals putting the squeeze on the remaining staff to pick up the slack, resulting in decreased quality of care and burn-out. My wife has been dealing with this for the last year at the hospital where she works. Her position is supposed to have 8 employees to cover all days and shifts, but have been down to as low as 5 people. Management simply twists the arm of the remaining people to work more. It's likely to get worse as my wife will not be taking the jab when the mandate comes down.
Ironically, she was talking with a nurse on staff about 2 weeks ago who is very pro-vac, (alreadyfullyvaccinated). A few days after putting pressure n my wife about the jab, she tested positive and is off work.
4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.

OldHat/Local_Dirt, the ethics prof was "reinstated" to a suspension with full pay following her video. The outcry was tremendous, so the university backed down...part way. At least she now has her salary.

She said that was in no way possible, her particular office would have to shutdown while she was gone. No one to cover.
