For small game, what do you prefer and why? I like the 32 in a flinter.

I use a forty cal or a 20 gauge smoothbore. Both flintlocks.

Very cool. Never had a .40. Flintlocks are the way to go. I have a 20 ga as a round ball gun and shotgun. You ever chrono your 40? How fast? Not a fan of blazing 32’s out.

No, I don't own a chronograph. Never been curious about velocities on the muzzle loaders. I just work up the most accurate loads and consider that good.

My 20 ga Virginia smoothie on top. Grandson’s little 36 percussion and old son’s Tenn. .40 cal flint.

I got all the bushytails that morning. A rarity around those two!

Who built your Virginia? Does it have a cheek piece? I have a very similar design "in iron" Same patch box, very similar carving around the mortis and stock.

Loving that 40... who was the maker?
Been looking high and low for one to no avail.

If it has whipped cream and chocolate drizzles on it, it’s dessert. Grow up and get a coffee damnit

I’ve always wanted one of those neat little 32 caliber T/C Cherokee models.
