What is the best source to get a period correct stock? I have all the hardware. I inherited my grandfathers rifle and would like to hunt it. The original stock has been broke and repaired but is shotty.

eBay, pre64win.com and post a wtb here in the Classifieds.
The early (pre-war and transition) dolls head tang stocks will cost a couple hundred $’s more.

I have purchased several stocks here in the Classifieds and on eBay, most for reasonable prices. While pre64win.com has stocks they tend to be somewhat pricey.

I have purchased several stocks here in the Classifieds and on eBay, most for reasonable prices. While pre64win.com has stocks they tend to be somewhat pricey. Yep. I'd also add that if some of you guys would get out and look around, you might find that a local gunsmith/gunshop may have what you are looking for.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
