The way I see it, masks can only really help if the virus isn't really airborne but only carried in the saliva. The masks would prevent people spitting on each other. Of course, not talking to strangers in public would likely accomplish about as much.
If the virus really is airborne and just floats around, I don't see how chintzy little masks do much of anything.

Some body explain this to me, what have we been told all our lives about the flu and other virus, cover your mouth not with your hands but I go to the Drs office and alot since April ( shoulder surgery) they hand me a piece of paper with there bare hands I sit in a chair that somebody has been in touching arm rests with bare hands all kinds of [bleep] like that so WTF

Airborne and droplet are two different levels of PPE.
Covid is droplet until you do something to make it aerosolize.

Good folks, the serious race car drivers wear fireproof coveralls, a helmet, with face shield, the car has a roll cage, and not just a shoulder belt, but a full racing harness.

I’m forced to wear a mask at work….I got Delta Covid at work…..I survived….but….but….you wasn’t vaccined…..but my coworker was and she passed…..last week….she was also forced to wear a mask.
