My club requires NRA membership.

Yes, I was on the membership committee and had to hold my nose and enforce it, though after my five year membership expires, I won't consider renewing unless they make some MAJOR leadership changes, and I mean beyond LaPierre. Any organization that would tolerate him, needs a clean sweep and a startover. I'll support local efforts until such time (if ever)

For the worth of it, we have our club liability insurance through the NRA, thus it's a requirement.

There was a time I strongly supported the NRA. Hell, there was a time when I thought the NRA actually supported the Second Amendment, and my gun rights. I can learn though...

it is not a bad idea in the current environment...if their memberships are in such high demand they can certainly enforce it. But if you are a not another dime person then you might ask if GOA would suffice..

Mine requires either NRA or NYSRPA (New York State Rifle and Pistol Association). I join the latter.

For some reason, my gun club always asks for your NRA member number upon annual renewal of membership, but it seems to have no bearing on anything. I stopped filling it in when I stopped renewing my NRA membership a couple of years ago. No consequences.

No NRA membership required where I shoot.

Whats a gun club?

Nope mines kinda exclusive. I open my garage window and shoot off of my concrete bench out to 600 yards. My neighbor and friend has his sei up to 1000 yards and he is only half a mile away. Winters do suck here though. Edk

Never felt the need to join a “gun club.”

When our club had our insurance through NRA they required that all club members also be NRA members. When we changed insurance carrier, we as the club board of directors voted to continue the NRA membership requirement.
