TTSX..like Porsche there are NO substitutes.... smile

A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

Bottom right, 185 gr TSX via 338-06 caught in the off shoulder of a quartering bull elk at 290 yards.

About an hour into the morning, my boy whacked a cow and young bull that were together.
Single shot a piece. The cow was 210 yards out. Double lung, broadside shot. She went maybe 20 yards and dropped. Bullet exited.
Then the bull was about 60 yards and at a hard quartering away with his head down. Bullet hit just in front of his left ham, traveled through to the off shoulder and stopped at the start of his neck.
He may have gone 10 yards and dropped.

.338-06, 2900 fps muzzle vel.

184.5 grns.

Very happy with how this bullet performed!

Great job on the moose - congrats! The only Barnes I've caught was a 130 TSX out of a 270 Wby on a similar shot on a bull elk - steep quartering away shot entered in front of the right hip and recovered under the hide in front of the left shoulder.

Congrats on the moose!

I’ve recovered probably 5-7 TSX/TTSXfrom various game. They’ve all looked like they could be used in a Barnes ad. The absolute strangest/ most unbelievable was a 140TTSX from a bobcat….. yes a bobcat. My cousin shot a pretty big Tom from about 200 yards as he was walking directly away…. When I went to my taxidermy guy a few weeks later he handed me the bullet. I was shocked. Bullet was started from a 280.

I’m not sure what is more impressive: the Barnes performance or the balls required to shoot two moose at the same time. Lotta work!
