My Son and I were lucky enough to make it to Newfoundland for a last minute moose hunt a couple weeks ago. After not seeing much for moose, we decided to take anything on our last full day of hunting to at least bring some meat home. About an hour into the morning, my boy whacked a cow and young bull that were together. Single shot a piece. The cow was 210 yards out. Double lung, broadside shot. She went maybe 20 yards and dropped. Bullet exited. Then the bull was about 60 yards and at a hard quartering away with his head down. Bullet hit just in front of his left ham, traveled through to the off shoulder and stopped at the start of his neck. Very happy with how this bullet performed!

Thanks! I couldn't have been happier with how they worked.
To top it off, it's the best load this rifle has shot in 20 years.

Another fella on here said they are damned good in a 338-06 as well. If they weren't so scarce I'd give them a shot in the 338 Win for grins.

Congratulations on the moose hunt!
Great performance and mirrors what I have seen with the Barnes bullets I have recovered.
I really wanted to shoot those out of my 338-06's, but they both shot much better with 200-210gr weight range, so that is where I ended up.

I'd like to try the 210 ttsx's, but won't be going anywhere that I would need it for a long time. 225 TTSX’s from a .338 WM work quite well on anything, according to my wife! 😉 She has a pretty impressive track record from deer/antelope up through moose! Sadly (well maybe not) , we have yet to recover a bullet! However, the animals were easily recovered! 😁 memtb

Pretty impressive performance! The only TTSX I have captured was a 168 TTSX from my 30-06 in my eland. Looks pretty similar to this one.
Its not always easy to do the right thing, But it is always the right thing to do.

Never recovered one in deer and hogs.
When it comes to the TTSX, I think you can drop down two weight classes on a caliber and still get more penetration of a cup and core bullet.
I have a friend in Flagstaff that hunts elk, bear, and deer with his 7 Mag using 120g TSX.

I would not be afraid to use it on anything, except Elephant, rhino and wooly mammoth. Congrats on the moose!
I’ve recovered probably 5-7 TSX/TTSXfrom various game. They’ve all looked like they could be used in a Barnes ad. The absolute strangest/ most unbelievable was a 140TTSX from a bobcat….. yes a bobcat. My cousin shot a pretty big Tom from about 200 yards as he was walking directly away…. When I went to my taxidermy guy a few weeks later he handed me the bullet. I was shocked. Bullet was started from a 280.
