I’m working up load for my 260 Rayhill rocket and getting close to having it worked out. It shot 10 rounds with 10 different powder charges with a velocity spread of 2710-2867fps alittle less than 1”. I have two 4 shot groups loaded but haven’t had time to shoot yet. Scared to play to much as I can’t find more to load. Does anyone have or no where I can purchase more bullets? Any help with this would’ve appreciated.

Lots of guys looking for the same bullets which are currently not in stock anywhere. May have to bite the bullet on gun broker or watch the classifieds here.

You will be limited in range to have any expansion. It's a bullet better suited for overbore cartridges. To make it work even as good as a 140 you need 3100 or more at muzzle. With a PRC, we got pass-throughs with zero expansion beyond 600 yards on coues deer

Is this that 18 lb beast you and the kids were shooting in 2015? Yes it is. Kevin Rayhill built it for me on a savage long action. It is basically a 260 ackley with a little different shoulder angle that Kevin uses. I ended up finding some more bullets and settled on a load at 2880fps. We have shot three deer so far with it from 240 to 405 yards. I can’t say for sure how it will do past that on game but it has performed flawless to 405. Daughter shot a mature buck at 405 and it opened and exited perfectly through one shoulder on a slightly quartering shot. OK, I'll bite....

I’m shooting them in a Creedmoor. I drilled the tips out to .050 to help with expansion. Only shot one doe with them so far so not much data to talk about.

Yes, if you're willing to modify them they will work at lower velocities.
All the PRCs i have worked with shot their best at under 2900fps.i hear stories of 3100 fps but i don't see how
