this year i plan on using 225 Nosler Accubond bullets in my Mark 5 338 Lapua rifle with a new Brux barrel has anyone used Reloader 26 powder ? with good results ? this rifle with Reloader 19 shoots 1/2 inch at 100 yds. but i only have 2 lbs ,but i have 10 lbs. of Reloader 26 so wondering if it would a good accurate powder the Reloader 26 ? powder for now is such a pain to find right now.

no RL33......Retumbo............H1000 or such available to you ?

RL19 seems on the fast side and it seems sort of a waste to use 26 when it is so great in smaller cartridges

seen 2 8lb kegs of 26 on a shelve awhile back , they were asking $410 a jug for it !!!!!

i tried Retumbo did not shoot as well as Reloader 19 did , the RL.19 shot like a bench rifle out of this 338 Lapua rifle ,i have plenty RL.26 just short a little on RL.19 . so i will try some RL. 26 and if that does not shoot well i will use RL.19 up. i also have plenty H1000 too . but i have notice many of my rifles do seem to like Reloader powder .

I shoot 92 grains of H-1000 behind the 300 grain SMK. Excellent accuracy

I got banned on another web site for a debate that happened on this site. That's a first

I can't recall how much we used nor velocity attained, but, I do recall getting excellent accuracy w/250gn Lapua Scenars and Ramshot Magnum. I want to say we were over 3K FPS but his BBL is 28" long. Anyway, if you have any Ramshot Magnum it might be worth a try, and, it's been much more available lately than '26, '33, Retumbo, or H1K. Ramshot LRT has been reasonably available as well and it's another I'd not hesitate to try. Accurate MagPro is another that's been readily available and should give you the right burn-rate/case-fill.

The 300gr SMK is the only bullet I have shot out of my rifle, H1000 is my preferred powder.
At times when H1000 was hard to come by RL25 worked very well, I have never tried RL26 because it seems a faster burn rate in other chamberings than RL25

its hard to find some powders now ,i had in my hand last year some Reloader 25 and i didn`t buy it and should have. i wanna use Nosler Accubond 225 gr bullets cause i got them and have enough ,i will try some more RL.19 and if this powder still shoots well i will use it this year ,but i plan on trying RL. 26 too. my rifle is at the gunsmith now because this Weatherby mark 5 is not feeding ammo very well ,hopefully he can get it fixed soon ? the other powders when i can buy some i will try them then. thank you , Pete53
