I hope you were using a telephoto lens hen you took these, especially the cottonmouth. Yikes!

The alligator pics were taken at max 300mm focal length, so its a little soft. It was about 35-40 feet away. The cottonmouth was about 4 feet away. I know that since my lens has a minimum focal distance of 4 feet and I had to move back some to get the picture focused.

They are beautiful pics, but I missed the one where a big oak limb gets broken over the cottonmouth's head.

Someone on another forum questioned where the fangs were. They fold back, and are hidden in the fleshy lobes in the mouth just under the eyes. Here's a series of pics I took at another location and stacked to put in motion clearly showing the sheathed fangs.

Snakes seem to be the most difficult thing out there to photograph. Usually takes a wrangler and a photographer. Good job.

Yikes!

Biden's most truthful quote ever came during his first press conference, 03/25/21.
Drum roll please...... "I don't know, to be clear." and THAT is one promise he's kept!!!
