An activity that's been one my reasons to live for the last 40 years. Two to three weeks of fly fishing every fall, but runs have been going further down the toilet for each of the last 5 years. Used to get into 4 or 5 fish every morning and evening and maybe land 50%. Best trips have had up to 28 fish landed over a 6 day float. Dam counts are running about 20% of the previous ten year average and my success declined to maybe 2 to 4 fish beached in a week.

I passed on the previous 2 fall seasons and finally the powers have closed the waters to steelhead angling. Getting old here, but I'm beginning to think I lived through the best of times.
