I picked up a 6X47 Lapua and am looking for load information. Has 8 twist and I'm wanting to shot the 108 ELDm's. Anyone shooting anything other than H4350? I can't find much for powder right now. Looking for other options.

What problems have y'all ran into using regular small rifle primers? All I have are CCI 400 small rifle and Remington 7 1/2 Benchrest. I'm using sized down Lapua brass.

The Remington is a much better option particularly if you haven’t had the pinhole bushed

I'm waiting on my 6.5x47. Same case with small rifle primers. I've loaded up some test rounds with CCI 400, but bought 1000 CCI 450 small rifle magnums. MIne is going to be a hunting rifle. When you compare the x47 case next to a 6.5CM, 6.5x55, 6.5x57 it looks kinda small and I think a small rifle standard primer will be fine. But when you put it next to other small rifle primer cases like .222 and .223 the x47 case looks huge and I think I'd better run magnums through winter for reliable ignition. I'll shoot the test loads at the range (CCI 400) but then switch to the CCI 450s for all other loads just to be sure I guess.

I would prefer to run the 450's, just don't have any in my stash.

The CCI 400 has a thinner cup and doesn’t handle pressure as well, but the Rem is as good as the 450

AHhh.. I can see that. Bolt face/Firing pin isn't gonna be a issue I will have to worry about, Thanks.
