It’s getting to be that time of year. Change out and/or bulb test the gravity of the coolant.

There are many types and whatnot.

Never understood selling it straight unless you're running greater than 50/50. I don't just have extra empty gallon jugs laying around to cut antifreeze...

Yeah, we've got that issue here too. I cleaned up the swamp cooler the other day (those things don't work in TN) and when I sprayed it down with 30% vinegar the hard water stains bubbled like a battery top with baking soda solution on it.

The shallow water is scarce....but when you find it you have to cut it up to drink it. Terrible hard. You can water a garden with it though.

The deep water is soft. Its 300-500 feet down though.

It is sodey water....and will kill all the plants you apply it to.

I don’t need 50/50 and don’t live in frozen tundra shîthole

Water and just enough to ‘color it’ works good enough. 75/25

I’ve probably got 12-15 half jugs of antifreeze setting around between three different buildings.

The gold shît, the pink stuff, the green, 1/2 green, the bronze

I also ‘save’ coolant from engine tear downs, water pump/radiator jobs.

Now...let’s talk about empty Roundup jugs and empty Chlordane cans stacked up in our tobacco barn. 😂😂

Dr. Aloysius Percival McGillicuddy's Pepermint Schnapps. Or Dexcool cut 50/50 with distilled water in anything aluminum.
