Just imagine how smart you'd all be if you hadn't been cooking your brains in those hats for the last 4 decades!

I have a Stormy Kromer (red and black plaid) which I picked up while travelling through the Great Lakes region about fifteen years ago. I like the hat but would like better ear protection. Back when I had hair, I could do without a hat but I shed too much heat today! GD

Fudd hats don't shed rain well. Nothing to keep the rain off your neck. Probably work well in minni soda, not so much in web foot country.

Pop had two knit caps, one dark, one orange, from start of wood cutting season till green up he had one of them on outside...or in basement where we put in the wood stove and cut the shroud into the cold air return of his central unit.

I wear a stocking cap over a ball cap at times. Flave’s a Wabi fanboy…. LMAO! I think wabi is trying to earn points with Flave. It won’t work. Well, I think it's cute that you two are fashion twins!!!!! 🤣 I believe the term is “twinsies “

While it will be epic if I can get a deer with the 81 this year while wearing a literal fudd hat, I'm going to start using the Elkslayer method of just sending pictures to a few "trusted" 24HC members.
So, iffn you wanna be on the list, you may want to think about refraining from the eyebrow jokes......
🤣
(I'm obviously kidding, as I could wear the hat with the pink bow and still not be a big enough puzzy to pull the "trusted members have seen my pics" card.)

I've been told I'm trustworthy.
I'm just not sure I'm "THAT" trustworthy.
Better not send pics to me, just post 'em up as I would.
And I hope that '81 hunt turns out to be a success.

Kromers are overrated.
Ear flaps are too short and thin.
Dry Ice Crown caps are far better for when you really need protection from the cold.

I’d venture to say I work outside in more serious weather conditions than most by a long shot. I’ve owned more various makes and models of scotch-caps. Kromers suck unless you just want the look and don’t really need the protection.

This is for hunting with the Remington 81 😉

I don't know if I have ever seen a Stormy Kromer hat on a true outdoorsman----meaning ranchers and farmers. The last I checked, by the end of the month they will all be wearing Scotch caps with real ear flaps. I personally wouldn't wear either, since I am not a rancher or farmer. My ears don't get cold----ever!

...unless you just want the look and don’t really need the protection. That observation is applicable to a great many things - particularly (even though it would be vehemently denied) here at the 'fire.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.
