My outfitter wants me to come out this fall for a late season goat hunt at a good price.
I am not vaccinated. Is there any way BC lets me in, and if they do, will the US let me back in when I'm done?

Kodiakisland;
Good afternoon sir, I hope that other than your dilemma with the border crossing life is more than less okay for you all.

Border crossings from any country other than Canada falls within federal jurisdiction, not provincial.

We, that is to say Canadians, are not allowed into the US by land crossing until October 21st I believe it was.

Sorry sir, I wish I had more information than that, but it'll be a federal government matter going both ways.

Good luck on your hunts regardless of where they take place sir.

Dwayne

I am under the impression there is zero chance of someone entering Canada anytime soon for recreation without being vaccinated....and maybe for any other reason. I have looked into it a bit and that is what my research has led me to believe.

I wish you the best but suspect that is the answer you'd get from Canadian authorities.

Use this link, and do the homework. Be sure to use numerals, and capital letters in the postal code.

Thanks
It appears as though I can not enter for recreation if not fully vaccinated. Even if I could, I do wonder if it would be a problem coming back into the US.
Oh well, I guess I'll spend my money local.

I’m finally in a financial situation where I can afford my dream of hunting Saskatchewan. It looks like my money will be staying in the U.S.

You can call the State Department – Consular Affairs:

So do I. ALL I want to do is get to Anticosti to hunt once more with my wife. I think the biggest obstacle is timing. I can do nothing on Arrive Canada further out than 72 hours. On top of that I need to find a place to get an accepted covid test with the results in hand is that same 72 hour window. AND then arrive at the border in that window as well.

The timing is the tricky part of it.

Be sure when listing your destination to use capital letters, and numerals on the postal code.

Wabigoon, Ontario, is P0V 2W0. Zero not, 'o'.

Hopefully we will cross the border in East Herford on 11/17. Tentatively, we will get the test on the 14th which is a Friday. Are the weekend days figured into the 72 hour stipulation. If so, that would be difficult to work around.

Good luck with it, a fellow in our church had an inconclusive result, and had to retest in International Falls at a $160

A test on the road might be possible.

Somewhere on the Canada forum here (I think) I saw a list of accepted covid tests that are approved for satisfying the requirements for testing purposes. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thank you. It is rather overwhelming for my wife. She was REALLY surprised when I talked with SEPAQ and confirmed the dates for our trip. I KNOW we can make it work if she only gets a little more optimistic. We are moose hunting starting the 16th of this month. 1 week from this coming Saturday. I promise a full report with pictures. I would imagine I will post under the general big game forum. I hope some of you look for it.
