Does anyone have any firsthand experience/reviews of the Eberlestock G29 Tailhook pack? Thanks.

Not in regards to that pack in particular, but my experience with their gear is that it’s hell for stout but you pay dearly in weight.

Big for a hip pack, and way over-padded around the outside walls for me - you lose a lot of carry space from the thick foam construction.
If I knew I was going to really need the padded protection of the contents (high $$$ camera) - ok, but you don’t get the carry space for the size it is.
From what I also remember - the back strap slides at the bottom adjustment - I had to tape it to get it to hold under load.
That said - you’ll wear out before it does.

I have one in my closet. It think it s pretty usefulbas an early season pack suitable for scouting and some treestand hunting applications. My is missing a few key compnents if anyone wants to sell Tailhook to me. Perhaps I can get the parts to put it back into service. Pm me or send me an emial if you have one and want to get rid of it. reddfin gmail.com

I’ve got the H2 gunnrunner and I really like it. Fits me perfectly. Sold my mystery ranch to a buddy .
