Any suggestions for reduced loads with a pistol bullet for deer hunting?

I've decided that my 1895 is not pulling it weight as hat rack.

Yes, I have loaded and shot the 210 grain .41 mag bullets and the velocity was just over 2000 fps. Could be easily made higher though.
I will check load records and references and see what I have.

I load a 220gr Rainier plated that I stocked upon before their demise, and it works well. I'm still tinkering with the velocity levels but the accuracy is good. It also showed promise in the 40-82 win of my friends. I tried the std jacketed HPs but didnt like the weights available. I didnt try the reduced load level, went up the scale to see where the bullet gave up the ghost as far as the accuracy. I use the 410459 220gr in the 41 mag, and it works in the 405 too, but the moly coated 220 plated seems to shoot cleaner an faster. 3031 is my powder, only because I have lots of it....

Gojoe,
Found some notes for AA2230 and Hornady .41 Cal 210 grain XTP bullets::
Starting Load: 59 grains(2150 to 2250 fps)
Max load 65 grains (2375 to2475 fps)
As you can see, these may be strong enough to kill something!

Enjoy

I was able to find 2 boxes of Hornady .41 cal bullets. But powder selections are limited. Did you try any others?

I did use another powder that was recommended and did work, but I will have to dig through reloading records to try to locate..

OK found it! Accurate 5744 for 210 grain pistol bullet date provided from Accurate , so you can look up to confirm.

Start load : 38 grains ( approx 1950 - 2050 fps)

Max load 42 grains (approx 2300-2400 fps)

Many powder makers have such information for many calibers.
