From what I can see, .223 FMJ's have never been hard to find. The price went up a bit, but you could buy all you wanted.

Now, .223 soft points, that actually have some value to me, are hard to find, or expensive as hell.

A thousand 223 is about all it takes to justify a Dillon 550RL and to start reloading.

Jus sayin’

No kidding. Brass and bullets are there to be had. Primers hurt a bit, and powder is stupid but an 8 pound keg will do about 2000 rounds.

Been there, Done that, Got the T-shirt.

This thing keeps my 45s, ARs, and Garand happily fed and I have enough time to mow the yard now.

I haven't used one, but I understand the Hornady LNL is a good consideration also.

Bro-in-law has the Hornady. Wishes he had bought a Dillon. No personal experience with progressives but he’s been loading probably over 60 years.

My earlier progressive was an RCBS Piggyback II, the Dillon is a Cadillac compared to that.

Biggest improvement is the case-activated powder charge, and I prefer a manual index. I had sworn progressives off for a while, but the Dillon changed my mind.

I still load certain ammo on a Rock Chucker, but you can't beat a progressive for high volume.

I roll my own for nearly everything but on 223 ammo for my AR's I will buy pre-loaded ammo if there is a good deal.

One of my good customers got into the ammo business and bought a few pallet's of ammo. I told him with that much ammo you have to sell me some................I bought a few cases !!!!!!!!!! PMC 55gr FMJ, I have used PMC before and it has been quite good for factory ammo. It has always been a Korean company but used to be made in America. Now is made in Korea.
This ammo had about 3 out of 10 misfires in 2 different bolt rifles....WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2 of my AR's there were ZERO misfires and they fired all the ones that did not in my bolt guns !!!!!!!!!!!!
Super hard primers but work flawlessly in an AR. good brass for reloading
