Listening to Janet Yellen telling Americans that the government requiring banks to report transactions above $600 to the IRS on Americans is a way to go after the rich and not into the pocketbooks of regular Americans is just stunning.

She knows its horseshit, you know its horseshit but essentially the attitude is what are you going to do about it? They have to come up with trillions of dollars in tax revenue and that isn't going to happen going after Jeff Bezos.

Same with vaccines, masks, immigration, oil exploration, there is no shortage of examples where a sizeable number of Americans object to the actions of the government but they are serving the select group.

And it boils down to Americans , similar to their Australian and European counterparts, might make a few signs, organize a rally but really - what are they going to do about it?

The federal government has instructed business to fire hard working Americans who have done nothing wrong , choosing to make the best decision they think they can make over their health - and aside from a couple of governors who are testing the waters in states rights, is there really going to be much fight against it?

Every day is a calculus - people have to choose to decide do they risk what they have in order to push back against what is wrong, and every day, especially of late, I think more people are now realizing they may have to do more than just post a mean tweet on social media.

The ONLY thing We the People can do about it is vote the bums out. Just not sure the majority of Americans have the mental capacity to understand this.

The problem is that we don't have a leader. Trump certainly cannot do what's necessary.

The problem with that thought is there is no “we” . There is no organized group or gathering of people to act or push back.
We are all a bunch of individuals on the internet complaining about “us” doing nothing.

Look at the Americans being held as political prisoners now, the media is silent on it and nobody is doing anything about it.

Why would the general media report on it. They are part of the inside group and a very large part of the problem.

I believe we are well past the idea of “voting them out” but most are lacking the mental capacity to understand that and the Will to do what needs done.
