Have a chance to buy a couple of FFV Husqvarna Sweden marked receivers. Are these good receivers for a build and what would the value be for these.

Thanks Nash

Are they good for a build? Depends on their condition. They were an evolution of the 1600/1640 series and ditched the CRF for . They are typically very smooth. Given the age of the design and relative scarcity, spare parts can be difficult to find. I imagine stock options are limited as well.

I am assuming you are looking at the 1900 design push feed actions like pictured above.

I agree with above posters. They are very strong and smooth actions known for quality. I tend to agree with z1r on parts availability, or lack thereof often times. You mentioned there were a couple rifles up for sale so you may have that problem solved. I think a 1900 action rifle would make a great build. However, I would be sure I had a usable trigger group and bottom metal to go with the action and bolt for sure. Factory stocks are a hard find but, the custom stock option is always there.

Are you looking to rebore or rebarrel? What caliber? Trying for a wood or synthetic stock? Keep us informed of details if you proceed. I really like the 1900 action Husqvarnas and Carl Gustafs. Just my opinions though. As for value, I would look to of the rifles condition as well. Also a cost analysis of what all you want to have done. Seems like the value of factory original (complete) 1900 action rifles come down to condition as well as the caliber it is chambered in.

Yes, it is the 1900 action. The action is complete, all screws, bolt, floorplate, trigger group, everything except barrel and wood. Condition would be 95/98%.

Should have been more specific, these are actions only.

Not sure what caliber I would build, would depend on bolt face measurements.
