First inning Astros Altuve gets hit hard in back of left arm just above elbow. You could tell it hurt and took him a while to get over and the WS fans are cheering their pitcher thinking and hoping Altuve is going out. Well, no big deal, the game goes on. Iirc it was WS 1, Stros 0.

Now, 8th inning and Stros are up like going ape schiett along with Tony La Russa acting like the world has come to an end. Hes out on the field raising hell and all the umps meet for a while then head ump has a discussion with pitch a while. Then ne has to go over and deal with La Russa again with him acting all mean and butt hurt for the fans.

That’s why the designated hitter is such BS. If the pitchers had to stand there in the batter’s box they would be a little more circumspect in plunking a batter.

Could be that folks in baseball have a long memory when it comes to the whole Astros cheating thing.

Agree on the DH. Pitchers should at least be able to bunt. As to the cheating, sign stealing, etc has been going on for decades. It was a tactic back when I was playing in the '80's. If you're too stupid to change your signs, they deserve to be stolen.

Playing American Legion ball back in the day. I got creased two consecutive times at the plate above my left elbow from a kid who threw BB’s.

The first time hurt like a sumnabitch. The second time, dropped and left me in agony.

Third time at bat, they had a different pitcher. I yarded him.

The saddest part about Covid 19 is that it took the fans out of the stadiums to boo the Houston Astros.

The Cards were on nightly at our house from when I was a kid to owning my own house up until the past couple of years. The whole kneeling thing and them not pulling the title from the POS Astros, was the last straw. The Astros used to be a classy organization with the killer B’s.

Baseball Is such a hard game to master. We lost our AAA team. I used to go to our games fairly regularly. I'd sit at the lowest level by the bullpen and shoot the bull with the players. It's not an easy lifestyle. Seems like a good bunch of guys overall.
