Looking for Outfitter recommendations in Alaska for a guided moose hunt.
1x1
Must be a horseback wilderness experience.
Must be able to bring meat back to lower 48.
Grizz add on nice to have but not required.

Thanks for any recommendations who to go with, or who to avoid. Feel free to send PM

Thanks in advance

You're going to have a tough time finding a horseback outfitter in AK. A few may still exist, especially up in the Brooks Range but they're getting pretty rare.

British Columbia and the Yukon would be better bets.

I don’t have a recommendation, but there used to be a few in the AK Range/Wood River area. But my knowledge is seriously dated.

Well a google search indicates that there are more still operating in AK than I thought, but they're still getting fewer. Good luck with whatever the OP chooses.

I've got no recommendations. Never been on a guided moose hunt, let alone by horseback in AK.

Wrangell Outfitters has a great horseback hunt in a very remote area where you are not bothered by ATVs and jet boats. This is an incredible wilderness experience.
I've hunted that area for sheep years back. The owner, Will Kohler, is a straight shooter. They take very few hunters and do not over harvest their area.
