We were after a bigger one but movement was tough this week so he settled on the second best buck we saw. First hard horned buck we saw all week. All still in velvet. I helped my nephews on a youth hunt the past week. We hunted hard for the opportunities we got, not a lot of movement out there. All the bucks we saw (mule deer and coues) were in velvet.
