Looks like a better product than the old Mark 2 version I have (more fasteners). Pricing seems fair.

Some guys at my club use them with no issues. Even on their AR10's. I like the sleek design. Should work just as well as the mk2 I've used.

Also considering Burris XTR Signature straight rings. Like the poly inserts. Never used them on anything but a bolt rifle. Any problems mounting ? Shoot loose with all the rock ‘n roll going on under them ?

Use a cantilever mount like the one you are asking about (Leupold mk ar mount) and save yourself some headache. The Burris XTR's work great on bolt guns. I use them a lot, but for an AR my vote is always going to be simple cantilever design.

Lighter than a PEPR. And a helluva lot less expensive than an LT104 or a Geissele.

Couple reasons I'm looking at them.

Slaves get what they need. Free men get what they want.

Rehabilitation is way overrated.

Great reasons and the Leupold will work just as well.

Also own 2 of the Mark AR mounts.

Zero complaints.

Leupold mounts are GTG, as are Warne's at a similar price.

I've used a couple of the Vortex mounts & they work just fine too.

All are well below the cost of something like Bobro or ADM, but they will suffice.

I'm gonna +3 on that. smile

That is, get either a +3" or +2.5" forward offset.

PRI and PT&G both make decent cantilevers as well, offering the lower center at about 1.3" above the rail.

Just bought the mount from this guy on GB:

Burris Mark AR
Total was $68.47 with tax, shipping, and CC surcharge. Pretty decent

And got one of the Burris E1 4.5-14x42 Ballistic Plex on auction from the first link below. $151.31 total TMD. I linked another seller with a bunch listed second. Apparently when they were discontinued there were a lot in the pipeline. For these prices its hard to go wrong if you need a scope. I think my bargain hunting is hereditary. Must have got it from my wife.

Burris E1 4.5-14x42 Plain Ballistic Plex
Another Vendor 4.5-14

Came in. It is no doubt substantially built. Scope should be here Thursday. Have LaRue triggers on hand. All the parts waiting. Looking forward to putting it all together.

You'll have to show and tell the finished product.
