Lots of nice belts mentioned here, but many of them are very heavy. I don't need a heavy belt for an airweight J-frame, but I might for a boat anchor Glock or similar. My belt has to suit the firearm, so naturally I have a drawer-full of those as well.
Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense. Robert Frost

For a typical mid-size pistol in a belt holster, I've been happy with Galco belts.
For holsters like a Remora, any decent leather belt on the wider side will work fine as the belt does not need to support the weight of the gun as the holster is not attached to it.

I like the belts from https://www.abetterbeltusa.com/. I have one of theirs in Elephant and have worn it all day everyday for the past year and a half and it looks as good today as it did the day I got it

I've got ones from Milt Sparks, Wilderness belts, the Beltman, Crossbreed and even a double thick Filson belt. They all work well. Some have the options to add a stiffening piece of material between the two pieces of leather. I really like the Crossbreed belt that I have and it doesn't look like a gun belt. Look on their crossbreed seconds website, you can find a good deal on a great belt there. https://www.crossbreed-seconds.com/I got carried away and ordered 4, so I am probably set for belts for the rest of my life unless I gain 20 lbs. I'm very impressed with them. My brain doesn't wrap around how you can sell that sort of work for $15 per copy.

I didn't feel like changing my belts either so I changed my holster. I use thin kydex holsters made by FIST. They are very slick to draw from and as the material is only as thick as a business card and it sort of eliminates the need to use a stiff belt to get a reliable draw stroke. They also add no thickness to the gun if you are wearing dress pants.

With my other thread asking about CC carry 9mm's other than the S&W Shield Plus going relatively well, with mostly useful information, I thought I'd ask another question. I carry with just my normal dress-clothes type of belt, but I'm wondering it anyone has a good recommendations for something a little more sturdy, possibly a little more stiff and adjustable? I don't want something that looks all tactical-paramilitary. I'm not into the whole tactical look and have to wear relatively nice dress clothes to work so those military belts won't fly as we do have a dress code. I prefer everything I do in regards to CC to be as low key and unnoticeable as possible. There are lots of choices from work belts/tool belts to Hermes or Gucci. You want something stiff but not thick so it barely squeezes through belt loops. The type of leather makes a difference. For example horsehide is stiffer then cowhide....... I would go to Yoder Leather Company (Yoderleather.com) and get recommendation from them. They have nice exotic selection and non-leather gun & tool forever belt. BBB rating A+ with 1 complaint in 3 years.

I have sharkskin belts by Sparks, Wilson, Rafter S, shrunken bison belt by beltman, wilderness instructor, etc.
There are a lot of classy looking and extremely functional belts that work well for ccw and don't scream gun by a lot of vendors.

Bigfoot belts and Hanks Belts are high quality. Also take a look at DM Bullard, high quality classic leather belts.

Another thumbs-up for the Crossbreed basic leather gun belt. I started with a Bianchi leather belt, it was good. As I got older it became too small. tried the nylon tactical style belts with cobra buckle, they are a pain in the azz to adjust. Tried Wilderness Tactical nylon belt, it was good for a couple years, then the velcro wore out so the buckle would loosen. I've come full circle, back to a stiff leather gun belt, with a basic buckle. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1018423064?pid=796242

Plus 2 on the Galco belt.
I bought a leather punch and added holes between the factory holes, for a more precise fit.
Been wearing it every day for about 20 years. Best belt I've ever had!

Good idea. I may try that out.

I have 3 Crossbreed belts: 2 leather and 1 nylon. Classic Gunbelt, the slightly dressier Executive Gunbelt, and a Reversible nylon belt. They've all seen a lot of use, and are still in good shape. The nylon belt even survived being chewed on by our Great Dane puppy (only 150 lbs at 1 year old).

Take a look at nextbelt. It is a ratcheting system with lots of ‘micro’ adjustment built in, and sizing is easy as you cut the belt to size from the buckle end. They make dress belts, but my experience is limited to one of the nylon style EDC belts.
