With my other thread asking about CC carry 9mm's other than the S&W Shield Plus going relatively well, with mostly useful information, I thought I'd ask another question. I carry with just my normal dress-clothes type of belt, but I'm wondering it anyone has a good recommendations for something a little more sturdy, possibly a little more stiff and adjustable? I don't want something that looks all tactical-paramilitary. I'm not into the whole tactical look and have to wear relatively nice dress clothes to work so those military belts won't fly as we do have a dress code. I prefer everything I do in regards to CC to be as low key and unnoticeable as possible.

Is it Friday yet?

There's a lot of places to obtain what you're looking for.. Just do a search for 'gun belts' and tons of 'em should show up.. Places like Mitch Rosen, El Paso Saddlery, Sparks, etc... Early this year I had a custom western dress belt made for CCW and it's excellent.. I just wish I could remember where the hell I got it from.. laugh

Mean Jean Leathers makes 'em for Kimbers - I just got one from there on sale..

Montana Gun Slings belt. I wear a G19 all day every day, AIWB or OWB w/ a 1.5" works perfectly and has done so for>10 years.

I've got ones from Milt Sparks, Wilderness belts, the Beltman, Crossbreed and even a double thick Filson belt. They all work well. Some have the options to add a stiffening piece of material between the two pieces of leather.

I really like the Crossbreed belt that I have and it doesn't look like a gun belt. Look on their crossbreed seconds website, you can find a good deal on a great belt there.

I just purchased 2 Concealed carry belts from KORE Essentials. They are leather or nylon with hard plastic sewn inside. They ratchet up in small increments for a perfect fit. Amazing how much difference a rigid carry belt makes. Especially with a heavier gun.

By all means get a good belt and holster for your CCW. It is night and day between what you are using and a good belt designed to carry a gun. Sparks, Rosen, the beltman, are excellent.

For something a bit different and works well. Ladder34.com repurposed fire hose belts. Extremely sturdy, well made, and inexpensive

Plus 2 on the Galco belt.

I bought a leather punch and added holes between the factory holes, for a more precise fit.

Been wearing it every day for about 20 years. Best belt I've ever had!

I have a DeSantis belt I bought, it's comfortable and sturdy, but damn it shouts "GUN BELT" at the top of it's lungs. It's like taking out a billboard on the local Interstate highway.

That's okay, I don't GAS about that. Only gun guys would notice that, anyway, and a gun guy is someone I'm not worried about. We'd likely be jabbering about our choices in sidearms, anyway.

These are very good belts. Large selection, too.

I have 2 AG Gunleather belts that are excellent and a very thick bull hide belt whose maker I don’t remember. It’s a bit stiff but also very good. No sag with any of them.
