My company is expecting at least 15% attrition due to vaccine mandate in December

November 8th is the get your vaccine or start shopping your resume date.

December is going to be insane if Biden holds the line.

We're short hundreds of jobs now and can't find workers. Now we're supposed to find vaccinated people to replace the people we lose in December.

we won't be alone.

Biden was hoping his prediction of a dark winter would come true as planned.

Hope it does.

My nephew faces the same timeline.
He interviewed for a new job yesterday, accepted it today.
Gave up 15 cents/hr.
Went from a 35 mile drive up on the Plateau, to a 4 mile drive.
Left a defense contractor, to work in a local business.

They did him a favor.

Like any other new compliance obligation imposed by the government, contractors want to know what the consequences of failing to comply could be. For example, if a contractor doesn’t have all of its covered employees vaccinated, the government could argue that it is a breach of contract.

“Does that affect your past performance ratings? Does that affect, if you have a contract where the amount you get paid is tied in some way to your compliance with contract requirements, does that affect the amount that you’re going to get paid?” Workmaster said. “Could the government assert a claim for damages for failure to comply with the new mandate, or could they terminate the contract?”

Some of the mandate requirements also conflict with individual state or local laws, but Smith said “the government’s position is clear that these contractual requirements trump any contrary state/local requirements.”

I would love to see the next administration put companies like yours out of business. If DeSantis were smart, and Trump too, he would announce his intention to do that right now. Announce his intention to issue on Day One of his administration an executive order cancelling all government contracts with companies who imposed a vaccine mandate.

We may as well set the stage for good against evil and clearly define the issues.
