250 hits.
Guessing that was on the wild and rice was ignored.

Anyone have the technique down?
I have the liquid I WANT TO USE ALREADY, JUST LOOKING FOR GREAT COOKING INSTRUCTIONS.

I know it is NOT like brown rice.
I know it is grass seed.
Just want cooking instructions to produce the best results.

This is a great wild rice cookbook. Check out the used option starting at $2.49. I used to live in northern WI and would harvest rice every fall.. The black stuff you get in the store is terrible compared to the real wild rice.

Have not tried it myself but have been told your better off cooking it like pasta. Bring about double the liquid you would typically use for the amount of rice. Add rice reduce heat to heavy simmer/ light boil. Cook uncovered til tender add liquid if needed. Drain excess liquid. Return to pot cover and let rest for five minutes or so to dry a bit and let the grains to separate.
