Which one. I am out of the stuff I used and don't remember the name. Bought some "ant killer" that supposed to work on fire ants but it sucks.

Looking at AMDRO Fire Ant Bait Granules. Reviews look good

I forget the name...

Bought some powder fire ant killer from the Walmart’s.

In a black container.

Maybe Walmart brand.

It works.

Stinks. You can smell it all over the yard.

Amdro works. It does have a shelf like, read the label. For fun and being devilishly green, put a shovel full of one fire ant mound onto another and sit back and watch them stack bodies.

Sprinkle one tablespoon of ORTHENE FIRE ANT KILLER on a fire ant mound during the day and it will kill the whole mound overnight..

Go to your local farm store and look for some stuff with Acephate in it. It's made by multiple companies and my co-op has a different brand every time I buy it, but it's all the same stuff. It's a white powder and smells awful, sprinkle a couple of tablespoons over the mound and it'll kill them by the next morning.

Amdro. Just sprinkle a teaspoon full next to the mound or alongside a foraging column and they’ll be gone in a few days. I hate those little emeffers.
When my younger brother was learning to walk we were all playing in the front yard and he sat down on a mound. Talk about a blood curdling scream. It put him in the ER.

Have used Amdro with some success, but nothing whacks the queen faster than a pot of boiling water.
