I do t know what you would call the folk in Altoona, the roots aren't so evident.
Now Johnstown,
that Pollock, Hunky, with a smattering of Eyetalian.
Traditionally. Yeah lol. Iām not from Altoona but close enough.  . German and welsh in my pedigree

My Aunt is full-blooded Italian.
They live in Easton.
Her daughter is married to a Capobianco.
Their children are like 1 3/4 Italian.

Somehow some Capobiancos ended up down here in my neck of Appalachia. They's some breeding sonfofbishes

I grew up with proper Italian food (and everyting else...) from near first gen immigrants (both parents conceived via north Italy) and most miss the food by a mile. I used to work in the meat business in a city that was very high in Italian population in the Italian section. There are no people who eat better quality food than Italians. I worked with a girl who made here own pasta, ravioli, prosciutto, wine and brought all her leftovers to work for all us mangia cakes. I sometimes regret that she was already married before I met her. Germans and Chinese OTOH, will eat ANYTHING! So you don't like scrapple, puddin meat, or so souse? It's all just pig....parts. I don't do souse it's nasty. I'd rather eat the brains, and don't really like those.
