If anyone has interest, I’d like to trade for a Lever in Browning,Winchester or Marlin for a caliber somewhere between 243 and a 30:06.
I’m happy to send pictures to anyone with interest, I listed it today in the classified. One owner and it works perfectly, I’m finished killing bears and it’s to nice a gun to collect dust.
Actually I’d like a Winchester in 375, we can close any trade difference with money if needed.
Thank you

Lama, I don’t have a Savage and need one. But I have a lever in 308 and I hoping another caliber comes along.
What does the -e mean? I like to learn if you know the significance/non significance of the detail. Thanks

99-E is just a sub model designation indicating age "trim" packages such as stock design checkering or lack of same etc. This particular 99-E is one of the cheaper grades from I believe mid 80's or so. Savage has been all over the board on quality from top notch stuff in the 40's to new stuff where you can put a nickel between the plastic stock and 40 grit sanded barrel. They are truly a let the buyer beware type of purchase. I have had tack drivers and "lucky to keep it on paper" models. This 99 is in the middle of that pack on accuracy. Fit and finish are not bad, birch stock which was common back then. If you change your mind let me know.
