Found one last night on my way out of the woods. Have never eaten them before but from what I have read I should be in for a treat tonight.

Lions mane is an excellent mushroom. I usually find a couple every year.

A favorite! GPS that log, herecium is perennial It was a live oak tree. Was at the bottom of what looked to be a knot hole about 5 ft off the ground
