I was gifted a bottle of that last year for my birthday, except not the peach and pecan version.

I found it to be rather harsh. It’s owned partly by the members of Florida Georgia Line.

Had two stiff pints of whisky/coke and lime.

My wife kept taking pulls from it, which i didn’t appreciate.

I remember happy hour at the old Gallagher's Pub in Houston. Buy one mixed drink, get 2 free. Them were the days.

Bought a bottle of Jack Daniels Rye a while ago, just to try. Neither my wife or I like it much. It's too close to Bourbon for me and too close to Scotch for her. I'll keep it for guests, I suppose.

Theres a lot of good rye out there, and it doesn't have to be expensive. Rittenhouse drinks great as soon as you open it, while High West Double Rye needs plenty of time to breathe but they are both very good and under $30.

You got the COVID?

Yup.

From my experience, you can still taste salt and fat flavors. Find something that has those and you can at least taste something.

Summer is drawing to a close so sitting out on the deck will be getting chiliy soon

A few large Long Island Iced Teas every other day or so will ward off the coming chill.

Smartasses!

Pick on a guy when he is down.

That's brotherhood for ya!

Speaking of light beer....I have a stovepipe of Bud Light Chelada in my hand.

I can't really taste it....but I can tell it's flavorful? If that makes any ssense.

The sensation of salty and spicy is there.

Give it up for a few days Jim. Just wasting resources.

The day I started with covid & didn't know it, I was making beer cheese. Added hot sauce, horse radish & garlic multiple times, no change.

Then said I'd drink through it. Extra spicy Bloody Mary's, then beers.

The BM's helped my throat but the beer just took me lower.

Third day? Pace the floor, rest, eat a dab of flavorless food. rest. Shiver, wrap up, rest, un wrap, take clothes off. Repeat. None of it was alcohol friendly.

Ride it out or call somebody.
