maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm a sucker for good Bluegrass.
stumbled across these videos on youtube. Great collection of musicians

can't link it on here but the best one is their version of Canned Heat's "going up to the country" . It can't be linked because the word filter on this site blocks it but its definitely worth searching out and listening to

then the more traditional Bluegrass genre

Hey Rick, that's a bit overboard,eh?

I sold Jason, the fiddler, his first fiddle when he was a kid.......or actually his dad. He still has it.

So much talent. Just crazy.

Reminds me of people like Billy Strings or Sarah Jaroz - talented musicians with strong roots in bluegrass/folk.

As a life long fan of the great Stephen Stills, I would say that this recording of "For What It's Worth" is the best cover of any song he's ever written.

Indeed. I also really liked their cover of Richard Thomson “Vincent Black Lightning 1952.” At least the first 472 times I heard it. It seems I remember from eons ago that Del McCourey played w Flatt and Scruggs. Could be a dust particle in my synapses.

They used to do a Christmas show at a little college near us. Always a good show.
Check out Town Mountain, The Seldom Scene and Hot Rize is awesome.
Dave Grisman and Jerry Garcia’s collaborations are good.

Hazel Dickens hits home, she sounds like my grandma when she plays and sings.
Lot of songs about coal country and mountain people getting scheit on.

Lots of good stuff. Dave Grisman and Jerry are excellent together and Tyler Childers is good. Whitehouse Road is great.
