LMAO, you did good mentioning amortization. Otherwise that bou cost about

$40 bucks a pound. But like home raised veggies, not about cost per pound. It's quality & satisfaction without reliance on the system. Priceless.

We got 3. That per pound figure goes up when amortizing a 37 year old kid. and 42 years of marriage.... smile

I've been finding them on sale for .99 regularly here lately. They were as much as $4 per pound regular price back in the summer. Every time they get on sale I buy two and barbecue one and cut the other one up into a couple of little roasts and freeze.

With all the shortage talk & some of the prices I've seen I was getting nervous as I realized we were out of steak & low on burger.

Whew! a sigh of relief when wifey just got back from Sam's. A whole, choice strip loin @ $8.07, 80/20 ground chuck @ $3.27, a little high but it is a bit scarce here lately, & some 90 cent thighs. They too seem to be getting harder to find under a buck, but all a good feeling as I have 35 pounds of meat to vac seal today.

Grilling/barbequing season coming to a close for many, maybe prices will settle some. Just trying to be positive, or maybe just naïve. eek

Maybe I’ll eat another TV dinner today. One of them shîtpile looking Salisbury steak, all my living in a tin shack ass can afford with my sawing plywood for a living, now on SSI. Or maybe some canned tuna. Just me and the cats, an innanet connection and a home depot bucket to crap in. 🙆🏻‍♂️

Feeling kinda lazy, hate to mess with the smoker or the genesis, who’s got 10 hours anyway. I need to get back to watching the indictments Lol
