It doesn't take long.

a 250 pound hog is reduced to a few bones in 2-3 days down here.

Underwater or in general?
I've seen crows and other critter clean a deer to bones very fast, just didn't think underwater would be as fast, maybe crabs, seems gators would break it apart.

Skulls are cleaned in a matter of hours here, in saltwater.

When I was in law enforcement I had to deal with a couple of floaters.

They decompose faster in the water than on land.

Add crabs, crawfish, gators, etc, and they don't stay recognizable long at all. Down to nothing PDQ.

Especially if the water is 95 degrees. Probably already reduced to bones by the time it flooded. Heck one day here theres a foot of sheet flow and a day later its gone.
Next day it rains two or three inches and its flooded again. Its the end of the monsoon season down here and the ground is saturated.

Buzzards are the clean up crew of Southern Florida. This morning on my 7 am bike ride there was a dead squirrel on my street. I drove by at 9 and there was ten to twelve buzzards fighting over the dang thing. Dead stuff don't last long down here.

Obey lawful commands. Video interactions. Hold bad cops accountable. Problem solved.

And without a confession in that notebook, how do we know it will be "proven"?

What would a reasonable person believe?

Brian Laundrie found: FBI confirms remains
A comparison of dental records confirmed Laundrie's identity
By Audrey Conklin, Michael Ruiz | Fox News
Published October 21, 2021

The FBI on Thursday confirmed remains recovered from the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in North Port, Florida, on Wednesday were Florida fugitive Brian Laundrie's.

A comparison of dental records confirmed the 23-year-old's identity, according to the FBI.

"On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie," the agency tweeted Thursday.

The remains were discovered in the park Wednesday near items belonging to Laundrie.

The Laundries themselves helped lead police to the remains, visiting the park Wednesday with a pair of officers and searching an area where they have for weeks insisted their son liked to hike. With water levels significantly lower this week than on Chris Laundrie’s Oct. 7 visit to the same area with investigators, more ground was visible.

"Chris confirmed with me just this morning that when him and Roberta looked, I believe it was on the 14th (of September), the whole area was waist deep or higher in water," Steve Bertolino, the Laundries’ attorney, told Fox News Digital earlier Thursday. "The FBI confirmed that yesterday that that area until recently had been flooded with water. When that water receded, obviously more things were accessible."

Did they get along with Gabby Petito?
What do the Laundries know about Gabby’s death?
Did they help Brian evade the FBI?
Can they be charged?
