It’s a brown vs red spaghetti sauce. It’s more like a goulash. And yes, it’s good.

Did not care for it the first time I had it. Now, I’d rather have this than Italian spaghetti sauce.

I’ll admit though, it’s not chili.

Never put cinnamon in chili and don't think I will start. I know some people put cholate in chili but that does not sound good to me either.

That is absolutely the worst stuff I have ever had. The wife hated it too. A good friend of mine that grew up near Louisville made that for us and we just could not eat it. The salad side was excellent though.

As would I.

I like chocolate in chilli.
It's one of those thing that bring something, but you won't taste chocolate.
Like most spices should be used.

Hate, sausage, or pies that taste of flavorings.

Pumpkin Pie spice is an additive. A supporting cast.
Not the primary actor.

Rant over.

PS. Doesn't apply to Cumin, chilli powder, garlic.

Aside from my chili spice blend dump in my chili meat, the only other ingredient, a liquid, is two cups of fresh strong black coffee. No cinnamon or chocolate here.

Don't get me wrong about cinnamon, I just am not a big cinnamon fan in general, so I don't see why I would like it in my chili.
I might try it sometime if someone else made it and at worse it was just a bowl that was not to my liking, but I don't see me taking the risk of messing up a good pot of chili to try it.

It seems to be one of those dishes that you either love it or hate it. We had the four way but anyway would not suit my taste buds. However I tend to like most food and rarely just can't eat something. This is one of those things I just can't eat. Kind of like our livermush in North Carolina. My family in eastern NC or anyone I know in eastern NC can't stand livermush but us folks in the western part of the state love it even most folks that don't like liver love it. Go figure.
