Alright guys, help me pick out a rifle. Requirements: caliber - .223, action - bolt, stock - wood, barrel twist - fast enough to shoot 65 grains, price - less than $2500... Don't have to spend that much as I actually like the regular old x-bolt.

I'm honestly just looking for ideas in a factory rifle that I haven't thought of. I really like the Sako Bavarian, Cooper classic, and cz527 - but I'm not sure about that magazine.

Any ideas I haven't thought of??

Thanks for the help!!

You’d think that’d be a hot seller we’re someone to make those from the factory.

The Kali Kid. He just sent me tracking for THE Carbon Queen Mini Howie, wearing a Bart' 7" RPM in a contour dupe at 19.25"(I like round numbers). He said he was taking a week or so to Hunt,so don't have a meltdown if comm's are a touch compromised initially. Hint.

I think Kimber makes a 223 and don't forget the Tikka T3 or T3x.

The CZ has true CRF, so you can’t just drop one in the hole and close the bolt; must feed from the magazine, or get a single-loading block like the Original Bob’s. Other than that they’re lovely rifles with a 1-9” that should handle 65s.

1-9” is as fast as I can recall seeing in a wood-stocked model.

Another vote for Kali Kid…. Does sh*t right the first time.

I have a Ruger American. 1in 8 twist, uses AR mags.

I got a couple 1/2 groups last week when I was sighting it in. I was using 62 Bear claws and 62 gr TTSX bullets. CFE 223 powder. It should be a fine pig killer.

Same with the fhuqking Rugers. Doubly so,if sipping from AR mags. Hint.

Item #1 Sako Bavarian- not available in .223 in the US..believe me I've tried!

Item #2 Which everyone overlooked is a Ruger Hawkeye, wood and blue. They have a 9 twist and will absolutely work for you for many moons.

Item #3- I'm not sure if Tikka makes a wood version of the 8 twist .223 but it would sure be worth looking at. Tikka is a sure bet.

Every Tikka in .223 I’ve handled has been scary accurate. T3 or T3x Varmint, 1-8,” 75 grain ELD-M at 2950 fps, or 50 gr NBT Varmint at 3400 fps. Also a stainless T3 Superlite 1-8,” same as above, if you don’t want heavy.
