Just thinking. Brian comes home without Gabby, his parents drag the truth out of him. His dad gets pissed at him, they get into a brawl. Dad unintentionally kills Brian. Dad and mom dump Brian's body in the swamp, along with his backpack and notebook and tell law enforcement that they think he is hiding in the swamp. They wait long enough for the gators, crabs, and bugs to chew up the body to obscure the cause of death. Then they "helpfully" assist LE in the search and "find" the body parts and personal items.
I knew they were real. Best videography I've seen in years too.
Wonder if that gal with the big lens on the camera got some shots too???
The desert is a true treasure for him who seeks refuge from men and the evil of men. In it is contentment In it is death and all you seek (Quoted from "The Bleeding of the Stone" Ibrahim Al-Koni)
When trying to figure out what happened to Brian consult Occam's Razor.
You there.
Stop making sense.

I felt that the video was particularly compelling.
Such detail, it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!

I've investigated a lot of stuff and way over 90% of the time the simplest most obvious explanation is exactly what happened. What you do is take the most likely thing and work to disprove it. The young man lost his temper and killed the girl. They were known to physically attack one another. He got home and the world was closing in on him so he offed himself. Duh.
Patriotism (and religion) is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
I think his parents knew he was dead a couple of days after he went out.
I can't imagine what that household was like
Dog the bounty hunter camping out on your lawn , reporters going thru your trash, knowing your son murdered a young girl and the whole world knows it too and that your son is going into the woods to commit suicide.
That's got to take years off your life
I'm not defending their actions, but I don't think any of us know what we'd do definitively in that situation
