Hi Dave, I haven’t seen seen one in 22lr yet, but they are are available here in 17hmr, handled one with a 20” barrel back in August, guy in shop didn’t know about availability in 22lr, it was a weekend so he couldn’t call Beretta to find out.

This may just be for Canada, but I understand the 22LR T1x to be delayed until Q1 2022. At least. That's the second or third approx. release date we were given.
I've seen more well-shot game lost with TSXs than any other premium bullet.

Not a Tikka but I sure enjoy the heck out of my Browning T-Bolt in 22LR. Not a Tac driver by anyone's standards but 1" 5 shot groups at 50yds are not at all uncommon. Even better is that it seems to really like Aguila subsonic rounds. When I can get them. Just a possible alternative.

Doesn't shoot any Aguila well. Get bugholes at 35 yards with several others though. Personally I'd get a kid of any eye dominance a lever for a first. Bolts can be difficult for little ones to work.

Just another example of two identical guns that can like different ammo. Lucky for all of us 22lr is still relatively abundant in many different forms. Was thinking T-Bolt because my two 7yr. olds with extreme safety precautions and lots of repatition are both very efficient with mine. need to pick up a couple right handers for them.... Unfortanely like thier Momma they are both RIGHT(handed)!
